6月16日付けで、Kiana Firouzさんが英国内での滞在許可を得たニュースがいくつか報道されています。

LGBT Asylum News has confirmed that Iranian lesbian Kiana Firouz today received 'leave to remain' in the UK - saving her from removal to Tehran after two refusals, originally and at appeal.

LGBT Asylum Newsは、本日、イラン人レズビアンKiana Firouzさんが英国内での「滞在許可」を得たことを確認した。もともとの申請と再審理請求で二度も拒絶され、テヘランへ向けての放逐から救済されたのだ。

Kiana has been the focus of the largest ever international campaign for an LGBT asylum seeker, with over 45,000 signing a petition. We published Kiana's statement back in April.

Kianaはこれまでに行われたLGBTの政治亡命者のための国際的キャンペーンにおいて最大の注目を集めた。45,000以上の署名が集まったのだ。われわれは去る４月にKianaの声明を発表している。

Those of us who wrote to Theresa May about Kiana Firouz’s case should start celebrating, as she has just found out she can remain in safety in the UK! This shows what a difference people-power can make!

Kiana Firouzは英国内に安全に滞在できることになったから、彼女についてTheresa May（英保守党議員。現在の保守-自由連立政権における内務大臣）宛てに手紙を書き送ったひとびとは祝杯をあげよう！ これはひとびとのパワーがとても重大な変化をもたらしうることを示している。

The 27-year old actress and lesbian activist faced deportation back to Iran, where she would have been at risk of torture and death as a result of her sexuality. 1,942 of us wrote to Theresa May telling her that this must be stopped.

27歳の俳優でもあるレズビアン活動家は、イランへの強制送還に直面した。そこは彼女のセクシュアリティによって拷問と死のリスクにさらされる地である。1942名のひとびとがTheresa Mayにこのことを伝え、止めさせるために手紙を書いた。

Together we have shown that we will not sit back in cases like this where asylum seekers are at risk because of their sexuality.
